Kate Slisz Bio
Kate Slisz began working with the Diversity Council in 2016 as a facilitator in our Spark! anti-bias program for K-8. In early 2017, she filled in as the Interim Education Program Coordinator, working with both youth and adult programming. She is currently an EquityLogic™ Core Trainer, delivering training, overseeing training teams, and working on curriculum development.
Kate holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Communications Studies from UW-La Crosse and a Masters in Community & Economic Development from Illinois State University.
Prior to joining the Diversity Council, she was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana, Africa. For two and a half years she worked on HIV/AIDS prevention and education initiatives. She also served on the Peace Corps Botswana Gender Equality Committee.
Originally from Rochester, Kate is happy to be back in her hometown, working towards making Rochester and the surrounding areas a more equitable and inclusive community.
