The Intercultural Development Inventory® (“IDI”) assesses intercultural competence—the capability to shift cultural perspective and appropriately adapt behavior to cultural differences and commonalities.

The IDI® process involves completing the inventory and coaching with one of the Diversity Council's Qualified Administrators. Individuals receive a profile generated from their personal responses.

The IDI® process also produces group, subgroup, and organizational intercultural competence reports.  These reports help identify cross-cultural goals and challenges that translate into specific inclusion strategies.
By participating in the IDI® process, you will:
-
Gain insights into intercultural challenges and identify intercultural development goals that are unique to your needs
-
Gain an understanding of how your workgroup and community environments are impacted by intercultural competence
-
Engage in targeted efforts to increase intercultural competence and allow bridging to diverse individuals and communities

IDI® has been rigorously tested and found to possess high cross-cultural validity and reliability. Diversity Council has used IDI® in its client work for more than 10 years.
