We've customized our training to meet the specific needs of nonprofits. This intermediate level training builds on the concepts that were presented in Modules 1.1 - 3.1 this past winter. The training is suitable for those who attended the introductory level training or to anyone who has some prior knowledge of diversity and inclusion and would like more in-depth knowledge and practical application of concepts. The 3-part series will provide you with skills and tools to more effectively serve your clients.
Module 1.2 Inclusivity: Working Toward Growth

This intermediate module builds on the basic introduction to the brain and bias presented in Module 1.1 with a closer look at growth vs. fixed mindsets and a deeper dive into implicit biases. Small and large group discussion, experiential learning, and simulation activities.
Module 2.2 Intercultural Dynamics: Working Toward Proficiency

This intermediate module builds on the basic concepts of culture and worldview introduced in Module 2.1 to examine cultural competency and further explore the role of worldview in interactions with others. This module provides opportunities for self-assessment and experiential learning.
Module 3.2 - Inclusive Language

This intermediate module builds on the basics of respectful communication with a focus on inclusive language, microaggressions, and critical feedback. Participants will have opportunities to practice responding to microaggressions and giving and receiving critical feedback. [One 2-hour session, facilitator delivered]
