Member Spotlight
Grant Eckhoff
On January 13, 2005, Grant Eckhoff
became the youngest member of the Diversity Council at the age of
9. Grant became involved with the Diversity Council as a student
participating in the Prejudice Reduction Workshops at Sunset Terrace
elementary school. Last year, Grant shared his experiences at our
2004 annual meeting, charming the audience with his humor and confidence.
This year, Grant Eckhoff has agreed to an
even bigger challenge--Grant will co-chair the Diversity Council
development campaign with his father, Jon Eckhoff of Venture Computers.
After this year’s Prejudice Reduction Workshops, Grant wrote
an email saying, “The Diversity Council is helping the world
and the people in it. We should never ever let the Diversity Council
die. It's one of the best things I've seen in my life and I bet
other people think that too. The Diversity Council is helping people
understand diversity like never before (except when Martin Luther
King gave his speech). Thanks for helping people around the world.
Thanks!!!! Grant”
And thanks to you too, Grant! We look forward
to working with you.
