Response
to Prejudice Reduction Workshops
This has improved the whole building climate, especially for
minority students. In the past couple years I have seen some
minority students really grow and develop because they have been
in an environment that has been supportive of them.
Having volunteers
come in also has empowered our staff to address this issue building
wide. When they see harassment or racism occurring they can use
this curriculum as a reminder to students on what to do to fight
it.
There was a nice mixture of discussion, video,
and activities. There is a continual need for diversity education
for all. This is a wonderful program for the students in
our district. Thank you!
My wish is that you come more times throughout
the school year and do more activities. This discussion
should continue to be held, especially among our youth.
The program was very well organized. The message was
clear and age appropriate for my 4th grade class. Thank
you! Keep up the excellent work!
The amount of participatory activities you
had was great! It helps keep the kids attention.
Before I was in a Catholic school, not very
diverse, but moved to John Adams and it was very diverse and
it helped me to work with more people. ~12th grade student
