Prejudice Reduction program marks 10 years

The Diversity Council will celebrate the
10th anniversary of its Prejudice Reduction Workshops from 4 p.m.
to 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at Riverside Elementary School.
The workshops began in 1996 with 300 middle school students and
have grown to reach nearly 18,000 students in grades K-12 during
the past school year.
The free celebration will feature workshops from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
and a program at 6:30 p.m. There will also be a balloon artist,
cake and ice cream.
Individuals who become members of the Diversity Council or refer
a friend who joins will be entered in a drawing for a $250 Apache
Mall gift certificate. The drawing will take place during the event.
