Would you like to give someone else’s moneyto help create a welcoming and inclusive community? Do you ever use a search engine to find information online? Now you can make a contribution to the Diversity Council every time you search the Internet!
Internet search engine GoodSearch.com (www.goodsearch.com), which is powered by Yahoo, contributes 50% of its ad revenue to the charity of a user’s choice. That amounts to approximately 1 cent for every search. While that may not sound like much, if one person uses GoodSearch.com for Internet searches 10 times a day, that will add up to $40 a year that is donated to the Diversity Council. 100 users could generate $4,000 for the Diversity Council without taking a penny out of their own pockets.
To begin contributing today, set your search engine bookmark to www.goodsearch.com. On the home page, you will see the search toolbar and one below it where you can fill in the Diversity Council’s name. The first time you use the site, enter “Diversity Council” in this box and click verify. After a brief pause, the Diversity Council’s name will appear in the box. From now on, every online search will result in a contribution to the Diversity Council. Try it out, and contribute with the click of a mouse!
